A little about the organization

The Council's purpose is to encourage participation among citizens of the Buchanan area in all facets of fine arts. This is to be accomplished through soliciting and selecting fine arts programs for citizens participation and enjoyment, planning exhibitions, concerts, demonstrations and any other programs that might allow citizens of the Buchanan area to experience and appreciate the fine arts.

Pears Mill • A 19th Century way of Life
The refreshing sight and sound of splashing water rushing and turning the wooden waterwheel is alone delightful, but this is a working flourmill too. Open Saturday and Sunday 1-5 pm from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. The waterwheel turns on Saturdays making stone ground flour or cormeal. This historic site is located a stone's throw from the Tin Shop Theatre.

Our 25th Season of The Tin Shop Theatre Productions!

Dear Patrons,

Thank you again for your incredible support and theatre attendance. The Tin Shop Theatre will be offering six fun- filled and breathtaking performances this 2009 season plus an extra bonus of a Children's Theatre Summer Workshop/Day Camp. Five theatrical productions will take place at the Tin Shop Theatre.

Our Tin Shop is undergoing improvements. We are starting to replace windows and have added shutters and a display board to the outside. We have renovated the seating, restrooms & ticket booth. We are working to make The Tin Shop a show place.

Our 2009 summer season has been assembled by new directors, both well known and emerging into the art and business of theatre. Our directors include, Kelly Carlin, Sarah Dickey, Samantha Blevins, Patricia Ramsden, Brant Beckett and David Pitts. The Buchanan Area Fine Arts Council is thrilled to have these talented and dedicated artists on our team and the unique touches they bring with them to each masterful performance.

These performances are offered at the season ticket price of $40.00. Such a deal! Please remember to call your reservations into the theatre on your preferred performance date for each performance so you are not disappointed when a night is sold out. The Buchanan Arts and Historical district is alive and thriving thanks to you...Our Audience!
